About
Lauri-Ann Hood grew up in Silver Lake, a unique neighborhood of Los Angeles, surrounded by some of the most original and innovative architecture in the country. At an early age, she began drawing and painting inspired by her varied surroundings. She followed her instincts and developed her talent at FIDM, graduating in 1986. She has been a sought after professional designer ever since.
Among the projects she completed in California were the historic Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows in Santa Monica, the landmark Ritz-Carlton in Marina Del Rey and the iconic Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks. Her projects elsewhere include the legendary Bimini Bay Resort & Marina in North Bimini, Bahamas, the charming Inn by the Sea in Crescent, Maine and the inventive Meyer Machines Inc. in Munich, Germany.
Over the past 25 years, Lauri-Ann has distinguished herself as a high-end designer who is time efficient and cost conscious. Her projects are joyful, inspired and cutting edge but timeless and affordable for individual homeowners and commercial real estate developers alike. She customizes the design and process to the project’s individual needs rather than repeating a formula. Her goal is to create spaces where a client’s life and work can thrive and evolve, without being stuck in an environment that reflects fleeting trends. The emphasis of her work is always quality and longevity. In the end, nothing is more important to Lauri-Ann than the smiles on her clients’ faces.
